so i just watched twilight. omg AWFUL. just really really bad.
peter facinelli is SO cute, but he had on so much make-up it made him look awful and weird. and omg bad blonde dye jobs are bad.
the acting was terrible. the actors were poorly selected. the dialog was choppy and lol-worthy. i laughed at most of it.
and nice cameo stephenie meyer. lol
re: the books...
i didn't anticipate reading the books. i didn't want to and didn't figure i would like them. several months ago a co-worker read the first one and loved it, so she loaned it to me unsolicited. so i kinda felt like i HAD to. surprisingly, i actually enjoyed it. very light and funny and sweet. the humor and self-deprecating lead character and lack of 'darkness' was unexpectedly enjoyable.
then i borrowed the second book from someone else. i did NOT like it. the lead character was now annoying and whiny and completely using her 'best friend.' and i just kept thinking 'bring back edward already' the whole time. the climax was lame and felt almost identical in pace and consequence to the first book, which i found boring and predictable.
i borrowed the third book and it has been sitting in my room un-read for months now. i have no desire to read it.
then a couple weekends ago (before st. patrick's day) i went to GR to visit my cousin for the weekend. she has read all the books and does not care for them either. i asked her my main question. do they make her a vampire or not? so she told me how it ended and what happened. now i'm thinking i MAY actually read the last two, for the sheer cracktastic value alone. omg lame.
