so far behind on this show. just finished catching up with the past two weeks before this week's finale.


top 8:

i LOVED seeing ivan! he is so wonderful and i adored him when he originally competed. him and allison were such an awesome couple :)

OMFG! melanie and neil and mandy moore?? are you fucking kidding me??? my favorites all in one! and then an awesome song to boot! this was absolutely fucking AMAZING. love melanie, LOVE neil!, and love mandy moore. so thankful for this routine!

jordan and jess were the right picks to go.


top 6:

melanie's first solo was brilliant

both of ricky's solos were awesome

sasha and kent were just gorgeous. what a beautiful routine.

melanie and tadd were also gorgeous. what a great story.

caitlyn was right to go, but very sad about ricky :(


i want either melanie or sasha to win. they are both SO amazing and i love them :)

ugh. this week was SO fricking boring.

i think the only two dances i half-way enjoyed were the clarice & jess hip-hop (with the painting) and the melanie & marko contemporary (with the light bulb).

i thought everything else was crap. so bored.

the only good thing was that the judges FINALLY got the elimination right! about fucking time. ryan and alex should have been gone weeks ago. the damn pairings this season are killing me.

thank goodness for next week. hopefully once it's back to an individual basis it will get better. plus, the all-stars last year were so much fun.

group 1 (broadway) - very cool. love miranda, sasha, chris and tadd.

sasha and alexander (contemporary) - lovely piece. sasha IS amazing. alex is good, but there is definitely something missing... a disconnect.

caitlynn and mitchell (samba) - this was a really good, sexy routine and they both did a great job. (how flippin cute is kristin chenowith?!?)

miranda and robert (broadway) - i really enjoyed this routine. miranda is awesome! robert was lacking a little bit in some of the lifts, tho.

melanie and marko (lyrical hip-hop) - omg i LOVED this! they both did such an awesome job and what a gorgeous piece! melanie is just a natural actor as well, i just completely believe her.

ashley and chris (jazz) - hmm. i kinda agree with nigel... and i LOVE sonja. i think they did well tho, and i still absolutely adore chris.

clarice and jess (fox trot) - this was nice and they did well, but it was kinda boring.

ryan and ricky (contemporary) - this really was beautiful. and this is why i love sonja. great job all around.

jordan and tadd (hip-hop) - this was so cute and funny. and they did great.

group 2 (contemporary) - what a wonderful concept for a routine. and beautiful music. love melanie so much.

i've been so excited about the new season! but i've been having to catch up on the weekends and such. love my summer show! i didn't catch whether or not these would be their partners until the top ten, or if they'll change every week.

jordan and tadd (african jazz) - i really liked this a lot. tadd did brilliant for a bboy and jordan is one of my faves.

sasha and alexander (contemporary) - i loved this. sasha is definitely one of my faves.

clarice and jess (broadway) - very cute! very broadway!

ryan and ricky (lyrical hip hop) - this was okay. it didn't do much for me.

caitlyn and mitchell[robert] (jazz) - our first injury of the season, poor kid. i love sonya's choreography and her music choices. caitly did really well, but my eyes kept going to robert because he's just so gorgeous!

miranda and robert (jive) - cute, but uncertain. crazy earring happenings were distracting. loved that last move tho!

missy and wadi (jazz) - this was pretty cool, but it felt a bit lacking in parts to me. not a big fan of hers, but i really like wadi.

melanie and marko (contemporary) - this was gorgeous! i loved it. melanie is one of my favorites and i really like marko as well.

ashley and chris (hip hop) - cute and fun, but not amazing or anything. really like chris.

iveta and nick (quick step) - brilliant song choice! nick is one of my favorites, he is too cute :) he did well for the dance of death. if these are the partnerships til the top ten then i'm kinda bummed for him, since i'm not a fan of hers :(

agree with ashley going home. i really don't think it's fair to put someone through when they didn't even perform. yer injured, yer out. that's my thinking at the moment. sorry to see her go, but still glad it was her.

ugh. am so annoyed that they sent cristina home and not melinda. i do NOT like her. they raved about her performance last night and i just thought she pretty much sucked. totally bummed, because cristina has been awesome.

ALL STARS

so i decided to watch season 7 because of the all-stars. how can i pass up a chance to watch neil, marc and dominic? so far i have really enjoyed it and last night i LOVED it.

the "new" stage from last season (that made me RAGE intensely - altho it was actually used for the season 5 finale first) has been eliminated THANK FUCK. they are back in a smaller venue it seems and there isn't a screen of crazy as the backdrop to make your eyes go cross. the layout is actually similar to the original stage where the audience is standing in front, so the level from which the tv audience watches is now better again. altho it is still set back a bit which kinda annoys me, but oh well. it is WAY better than the shit set up of last season. have i mentioned the RAGE i felt regarding it?

i also loved watching the all-stars. seeing neil made me so ridiculously happy! and dominic with his crush on cat? so cute! i will really enjoy having these guys back :)

and the way they took last night to just have all the contestants perform in their genre without competing yet was really cool and a lot of fun to watch. my favorites are kent and lauren. kent is beyond awesome and adorable.

so yay! very excited about this season and SO glad i decided to watch :)

watched the first three eps of the office. when did they decide to make jim a fucking idiot too? brilliant move. *shakes head*

one of the last eps of better off ted i saw had linda mention becoming the old lady with all the cats that eat her dead body. that was AWESOME. it redeemed the fact that that story/urban legend/myth actually does exist, so when i talk about it and people look at me like i'm crazy... well, okay, so i AM crazy, but STILL! it does exist :)

so ellen is going to be on idol. *sad face* i love ellen. love and adore her! i really really do. but i do NOT want her on idol. i just know that having her on idol will make me hate her. i just know it. and i don't want to hate her. i love her! ugh. not looking forward to this at all.

am watching sytycd, but still extremely annoyed that they are doing this fall season thing. and RIGHT after the last season. bugs me.

gareth david-lloyd is playing watson in a straight to dvd sherlock holmes movie. yay for him, cuz ya know, paid acting job. but based on the pics, i question the quality of this venture. it could be awesome. it could be complete crap. it could be BOTH. regardless, i care not for gdl's tummy roll. i've said it a million times, but boy really needs to start taking care of himself. the lifestyle he (supposedly) leads is going to destroy his body. he looks way older than he actually is, and dude isn't even 30 yet. but hey, to each his own, right? and i suppose if he's happy, then who am i to say. just don't kill yourself too readily, okay?

group boys: contemporary - awesome! love sonya. they all three did an excellent job. very impressive.
jeanine & ade: samba - it looked sexy and fun, but something was awkward.
kayla: very pretty. like her dress and LOVE that song.
melissa & evan: broadway - very cute! but not amazing.
ade: this is so mean... but i'm getting sick of him smiling all the time.
kayla & brandon: contemporary - i liked this a lot and they danced it beautifully.
melissa: a little boring
jeanine & ade: hip-hop - it was pretty good. but something about jeanine bugs me.
brandon: he is amazing.
melissa & evan: quick-step - this was good and they did well.
jeanine: not bad
evan: he's just so fucking cute.
kayla & brandon: disco - this was pretty awesome, but it looked difficult for them. regardless, they are obviously the best two dancers left.
group girls: contemporary - again, awesome! sonya rocks so hard. they all did great.
