so my computer fucked itself on tuesday night. i got the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. luckily, i hadn't gotten home til around 8:30 so i was able to go to bed early and not be too bored. i was however freaking out.

i took it to r's on wednesday night. i had a lovely evening with r, j and r's dad. altho i'm fairly sure j was none too happy with the three of us. my apologies! anyhow, i forgot the cd's for my computer, so he came and picked those up on thursday after work, and he was able to fix it and get it back to me last night (friday). yay!

had to reinstall windows and everything, but he also gave me 2G (gig? yes-no?) of RAM, so this bitch is way faster. well, probably starting with a fresh install has helped make it faster cuz i'm sure there's a ton less SHIT on it now. the extra RAM helps when doing lots of things at once, which i do tend to do. multi-tasker i am.

also, because r wasn't sure how long it would take (he's a very busy guy) i was kinda freaking out about not having a computer for many days. i had called k re: possibly fixing it also (not wanting to bother r while his dad was in town) and he said he would loan me a laptop. so i went to lansing on thursday morning and we met up at cracker barrel for breakfast. it was actually really lovely. most people wouldn't be able to sit and have a nice meal with their ex and i am so happy that we were able to. i was also happy to hear that he quit smoking (cold turkey) this summer. it sounds like he is doing very well, which pleases me greatly. i want him to be safe and healthy and happy.

so i had the laptop for thursday evening (thank god) but only needed it the one night. i am so SO thankful and grateful for both r and k helping me out like they did. i know i get really annoying and demanding and rude and selfish when i am freaking out, and they were both complete rock stars about the whole thing. they are AWESOME.
