king's quest

had our IT guy at work friday installing autocad 2010 and we started talking about old school pc games. he was not familiar with king's quest, which kinda bummed me out. man those were awesome games! i forget how old i was when i started playing king's quest I. probably fifth or sixth grade? i totally got addicted to those games. come home from school and sit at the computer for hours playing. kqI was sweet cuz you had to type in commands. and oh the pixels! i wonder if my dad still has those disks? not that i would be able to use them of course, but still. it'd be awesome to try and play them again.

nostalgia is bittersweet.
