ugh. mia. let's hope she's lost her nasty bitch attitude.

janette & brandon: cha-cha - damn that was fast. these two just rock. love her dress.

kayla & kupono: contemporary - weird. but cool. love sonya, still unsure about these two tho.

randi & evan: broadway - i am... uncertain. i thought evan was great, but randi was questionable. so i completely disagree with nigel. and i disagree about the choreography as well. it was okay, but not spectacular or anything. plus, she seemed kinda rude (so maybe that is clouding my judegement?)

caitlin & jason: pop jazz - i actually really liked this, but i thought her outfit really detracted from it. don't think caitlin really has it in her to be strong enough, but jason was lovely.

jeanine & philip: hip-hop - cool concept. not sure if it worked tho.

melissa & ade: ballet - this was lovely. melissa is amazing. i think ade did well for probably not ever doing this.

karla & vitolio: quick-step - this was a really cute concept. loved the dress switch-up! and i love that song.

oh, i love the idea of the dizzy feet foundation :)
but damn this was a long ass ep. was an hour and a half really necessary.

whoa! kelly clarkson performaing tomorrow night. yay!!!

EDIT for RESULTS: )

finally! some fucking torchwood! it has been TOO long.

loved pc andy in this. he's so sweet and adorable. they gave him some stupid lines at one point, but overall he was wonderful :)

jack seemed SO out of character. it was actually quite annoying. just randomly pressing buttons on the 'gun'? i think not. he's smarter with tech than that. and him being all 'kill the aliens' was so completely opposite of everything else we have seen about him. the bit at the end seemed especially dumb considering what he did with flat holm and how he has 'changed' torchwood from how they were back in the day. stupid writers.

gwen was okay. too much of her if you ask me, but it was fine. i hate how condescending she is towards andy tho. (oh, and sometimes eve's inflection really grates on me)

the alien chick did a good job i thought, but future!speak was a bit annoying and too much of the writer trying to be 'clever'.

and of course, not enough ianto! he had so very few lines and that was disappointing. we needs more ianto, damnit. he was very clever in this. taking over the blood sampling stuff, and being all helpful with ideas at the end.

overall, it was okay. certainly nothing spectacular, but better i think than the last one. i definitely enjoyed it, and did smile a lot, but that's what you get after such a long drought. so it may not have earned these things on it's own merits.

regardless, can not WAIT until the next two. yay :)

EDIT: there appears to be a lot of disagreement in regards to whether or not jack is out of character or not. this is really one of the main problems torchwood has. they are never consistent with the writing of the characters from one episode to the next, it is sometimes impossible to determine what their actual traits are. so in some ways yes, i can see how jack was portrayed in this as being natural. i guess it all depends on how each individual decides to interpret each character. which causes SO much wank in the fandom. very frustrating.
