i had a ridiculously emo weekend. and really, i'm too old for this shit.
read a lot of angst.
and watched the youtube video of kris allen at that vineyard concert thing doing a mash-up of 'falling slowly' and 'with or without you' again and again and again. his voice just breaks my heart.
also, i've listened to his cd about a million and twelve times now. my favorite is definitely 'the truth'. my three other faves are 'before we come undone', 'red guitar' and 'i need to know.' i don't even listen to 'heartless' tho (i think i said that before). regardless, i think it's a pretty fucking awesome first cd.
too bad it doesn't' seem to be getting a lot of interest tho. altho, i guess i really don't know if that's exactly the case, considering i don't watch tv and barely listen to the radio. but usually i can tell when something is fairly popular or not, and it doesn't seem like he is. am i wrong? that'd be cool if i was. cuz like i said, i am getting old.

i love his voice on the cd. it is so natural and raw and organic. he doesn't have the best singing voice ever or anything, but it is so real and emotional and beautiful. i love hearing the breathing and his little quirks and flaws. if they had over engineered his voice, i would have been really pissed. the cd sounds like him and that is awesome.
