american idol

ok. so they didn't do what i thought they would, because there were still a couple people who made it to the top 24 who i don't recall seeing before. there was a paige and a michelle i think, and a few others i don't remember at all. oh well.

people i like:
janell wheeler - even tho that last song was AWFUL
tyler grady - he's just cool
crystal bowersox - i liked her last performance, but she actually kind of annoys me
katie stevens - good voice
siobhan magnus - they showed her more last night than tonight, and i can't remember what i actually liked about her
haeley vaughn - very different and interesting, but it seems like she knows who she is and will hopefully remain distinct
andrew garcia - shut up about all the fucking babies already
john park - they haven't shown him at ALL since his initial audition, but i think i liked him

and alex lambert deserves a mention, cuz the name is just funny after last season :)

i can't believe how awful kara treated angela martin. that poor girl! and kara comes and makes her sit on the ARM OF THE CHAIR. ugh, how patronizing she was. but damn, ryan actually made me tear up! he seemed so sweet and honest and genuine with her. he may not be a robot after all.

and what the fuck happened to my cute dude with the knit cap? i kept seeing him in the waiting room, but they never showed him getting the boot. what was his name? what happened to him? why do you annoy me so, idol?

awesome that they used 'no surprises' by radiohead and 'hallelujah' by jeff buckley. love those songs.


EDIT: a complete tangent, but idol related. i think kelly clarkson and kris allen should totally tour together. somebody make it happen.
