will & jessica:
jive - fun & lively, but it looks like mistakes were made, and there is still something about her that i just don't care for.
lyrical jazz - wow. i loved this crazy like. sexy sexy.
thayne & comfort:
broadway - thayne really rocked this. and she did fairly well, but just not good enough. nigel was harsh man.
smooth waltz - meh. besides that first lift, it was pretty boring.
matt & kourtni:
hip-hop - i actually thought he did fairly well. not awesome, but good. sad to say tho, she just did HORRIBLE. it was like she just didn't want to be there doing that or something. it was strange. not good.
mambo - awesome lifts at the beginning! they are a bit too cute & chipper to pull off the sexy tho. still adore him.
mark & chelsi:
jazz - i really liked this. love these two. great job!
fox trot - well done (i think). its hard to judge technique with these kind of dances. hated her dress.
twitch & kherington:
paso doble - yowza! this was great. she was so hardcore (and i loved her outfit).
contemporary - really cool concept. nicely done. for a hip-hopper, he really held his own.
joshua & katee:
contemporary - oh. my. god. this SO touched me. it was amazing and i was crying and it was just SO beyond brilliant. LOVED.
westcoast swing - this was a really fun routine, and i think they did really well. BUT. the music was really bad and just made it kinda boring and it was a real disservice to their performance.
gev & courtney:
hip-hop - fairly cool. agree with the judges tho. she was hitting it harder than he was, which is wierd.
broadway - cute & fun. very old school. they did very well i think.
can i just gripe for a moment about the really bad camera angles/shots? they kept missing really important/good bits! its like they just weren't in sync with what was going on on the stage. i dunno, but it REALLY bugged me tonight. grr argh.
EDIT:
took a nap last night and missed the show, so i had to d/l it. how sweet that they brought that popper back? he's crazy cool :) and one republic so got popular because this show used their song last year. seriously. they owe their success to sytycd.
kourtni - meh. she was SO good during auditions, what happened?
matt - good lord, he is SO graceful. love him.
courtney - okay solo. you know she ain't going anywhere tho.
gev - he is so freaking AWESOME! awesome awesome.
comfort - meh.
thayne - very nice. definitely choreographed this.
really bummed cuz these guys were amongst my faves right from the get go :(
