too funny

i truly laughed fully for the first time today since ianto died.

listening to 89x on the way home from work. request hour.


caller: can you play creed arms wide open?
dj: creed?
me: what the fuck station do you think you are listening to?
caller: yeah, i've been calling everyday for three weeks and you haven't played it.
dj: well it is creed.
me: have you ever listened to 89x?
caller: i know, but i'd really love to hear it and i've been calling for three weeks.
dj: alright, i'll get it on for you.
me: what the fuck? (goes to turn station)
dj: HAH! did you really think i was going to play creed? if you did then you obviously don't know me very well.
dj then plays some slipknot.

oh my god i fucking lol'd SO HARD. brilliant :)


also. i'm waiting for my sister to show up so we can go to dinner and then go see harry potter and the half blood prince. i'm feeling weird about it cuz i'm still feeling all wrapped up in the whole torchwood thing and grieving ianto and stuff. usually i am just SO amped, and while i am excited and looking forward to it, it is fairly subdued. i feel a bit guilty about that. (how do i make that damn smiley face stop flipping?)

doctor who spoilers

so in all the brouhaha about torchwood: children of earth, i have run across some spoilers for the final eps of this year's doctor who.

i am VERY nervous.

if it is ignored, fine. i don't WANT it ignored, but if it is, fine. what WON'T be fine? belittling or undoing or sullying the relationship anymore than it already has been. if he was THAT upset, then i want to SEE that still there. i don't want it completely nullified or erased or whatever. no, i don't want an unhappy jack, of course i don't. but us torchwood fans have been left with this destroyed jack and we will be remembering that when we see him next. and you can't ignore that! (okay, so i went and changed my mind there)

i know a nod to ianto is WAY too much to ask (silly stupid fangirl) but seriously, the LAST we got of jack and ianto was jack promising to remember ianto in one thousand years time. it'd be nice to know that it wasn't a lie.

please don't destroy the character of captain jack anymore than has already been done. please let me still love and respect him when all is said and done.
