Doctor Who Christmas Special 2009

yeah. i'm not quite sure what to think about that whole thing. i pretty much didn't like it. most of it was extremely wtf in my opinion. i think i disliked it mostly of my own free will, but my disgust with rtd may be coming thru as well.
the only thing i did like was wilf. the scene of him and the doctor in the cafe had me tearing up a bit. but more for wilf's sake than the doctor's. cuz wilf is so gonna die. nice foreshadowing there rtd, you're really into that aren't you? at least it wasn't insulting like an "ugly dog" or something.
the bit about having procured the immortality gate from torchwood pissed me off. i'm not exactly sure why, but it really did. like i feel he has no right to mention it's name. kinda pathetic, but there it is.
oh, i also liked the doctor chick from being human as one of the green cactus aliens. i noticed her right away!
i don't know what's going to happen to donna. dead or not, i'm sure it will be horrible whatever it is.
the timelords? really? they surely won't be around for long since 'the last of the time lords' is kind of their schtick isn't it? unless moffat is really making some big changes. but i think it's more rtd thinking TOO BIG. unfortunately he just can't handle TOO BIG. but i could be wrong... we shall see. and also, star wars much?
i am still worried about what part jack is going to play in this. i assume not a very big part, but what? there's the possibility it is in regards to the immortality gate. i'd like it if they fixed him, so that'd be one cool thing before rtd leaves. but i really doubt that is going to happen. plus, that seems too big a role for jack in the final ep. i'm sure it will be much more fleeting. worried, worried.
i laughed and laughed and LAUGHED over obama. seriously. hilarious. and not in a good way.
creepy father/daughter relationship? merry christmas children.
when/how did the master turn into a marvel comics character? he flies, he shoots stuff from his hands. but then he turned into agent smith from the matrix at the end. EVERYBODY is the master. (except wilf, donna, the doctor and the two green cactus aliens of course). we saw him - and his bits - in way too many dresses.
i dunno. the whole thing was really a mess. i don't even know where to begin. and obviously neither does rtd. nor how to end.
